Did you know that a rocket launched into space first has to overcome the powerful force of gravity?
To do that, it must push gas backward. The hardest part of a rocket’s journey is the initial lift-off.
Just like that, for us to propel forward—to change and grow—we also need to challenge our own “gravities.”
Our gravities are our beliefs, mindsets, and fixed ways of thinking. Each one pulls us down, slows us, and keeps us from reaching our goals.
We hold countless beliefs about ourselves and the world most of them shaped by the past.
Just as a rocket moves forward by pushing gas backward, we too must make a similar move:
Let go of what happened before and free ourselves from the beliefs that no longer serve us.
These beliefs are often negative—especially the ones about ourselves:
-Who am I to overcome this?
-I’m not skilled enough, I can’t do it.
-Who would even take me seriously?
-They won’t listen to me because I’m a woman.
Such patterns of thought block our potential.
Isn’t that a waste? A waste of our own potential and talent?
So, what is possible?
To shift into that mindset, the first step is to come off autopilot and to identify and question our limiting beliefs.
Each belief we question is like pushing gas backward, propelling us forward by letting go of the past.
It’s the door that opens from the chains of yesterday to greater freedom and progress.
What are your beliefs to change?
